Whenever we go out to eat with the kids grandma and her husband, the waiter always thinks they are the parents, and not Dan and I? Can somebody please tell me why this happens? I am sitting there next to Dan (with my pregnant belly I might add) surrounded by my kids looking at the kids menu trying to decide what to get them, when the waiter comes up and asks grandma what she would like to order the kiddies! I never get angry about it, it just strikes me awkward. This always happens though. I mean, I know we may look young and of course grandma and her husband look young too, definitely not like "old grandma" look, but when will I look old enough to have almost four kids now. I'm 26 years old, how old do they think I am? I can't look 16 or something, and Dan sure doesn't look any younger then he is, in my opinion. So why? Of course this is the highest complement for grandma and her husband because it reaffirms their "youthfulness" :D so cool beans for them, but what about me! The only time this doesn't happen is if it's just us with the kids eating out. I guess then we are the only obvious choice!! Does this happen to anybody else or are we the lucky ones? :D

I am very mad at the Mommy days out program here who called my MOTHER IN LAW to ask a question about Colby Grace. HELLO PEOPLE!!!! DID NANA push that baby out her her body??? NO!!! So if you got a question ask me!
Grrrrr. Feels good to vent
My folks look too old, and we don't look young enough I guess to have that problem. Guessing the grandparents is probably the safe guess for them.
A. Grandparents often pay for the meal thus compliment=tip.
B. Assuming the young one is the parent (thus insinuating the older is too old to possibly be the parent would be a big fopaa which = 's no tip and big embarassment.
(I know, my spelling is terrible, sorry)
That is so funny! I get it Allll the time! Of course I am not around my parents enough for it to happen often, but I get the occasional "no way, you are to young for those to be your kids" or "you are not a day over 15, you are not old enough to have children!" lol I have been mistaken for a babysitter too! I have learned to deal with it, at least I don't look old. lol
