Mood: Irritated
I hate it when....I walk into a room and try turning on the light only to miss the switch. Then using the millisecond that I have before completely passing the switch and making it into the middle of the room I make several more attempts to turn on the dang light, all of which fail. Finally, I make a quick decision whether I really need the light on and if I do decide I can't see without it I stop, back up, find the light switch and turn it on only to discover that I can't remember why I came into the room in the first place.

Bullets
- Everyone is coughing now
- Jack's eye is pink, not sure if it's more red today because last night I accidently stabbed him in the eye with the eye dropper. He wouldn't sit still.
- The school just called me because they accidently marked Adam absent even though he is there. This is the second time that has happened. I've learned not to panic because once they check they actually see he is indeed at school.
- My right ear is plugged; probably due to the cold I have. I can't hear from it at all. Very annoying. I can only hear the sound of silence in my right ear and it's very loud.
- It snowed alittle last night and the sun is not shinning.
- Does anyone know of a home remedy to unplug a clogged ear?
- Ben is crying, gotta go!

Another Blog
http://clarkfamphotography.blogspot.com/
This is another blog I started so I can post pictures I take. I just started it today. I really like taking pictures but I'm no pro. When I have spare time I love messing with photo editors. It will probably be a boring blog, but hey this one is too. LOL

Randomness
We're sick again! Jack, Grace, Ben and I are sick, again. Ben and Grace started it out and even gave me a "pink eye" scare. We missed church on Sunday because Grace and Ben both had pasted shut eyes. Good thing I still had some eye drops. It seemed to clear up rather quickly so I think it must have just been the cold in their eyes. Now all four of us are coughing, sneezing, and I feel my throat swelling and my chest is congested. Sarah, Adam and Dan are all fine. I keep wondering why Sarah and Adam haven't really gotten sick over and over like this, I mean afterall they go to school everyday. I would think they would be bringing home all the yuck! But then I remembered they go outside and play everyday for quite awhile and us, well we stay inside all day, everyday. That must be it, we are stuck in here breathing all the yucky germs that are trapped and obviously breeding in our house. LOL We are not getting the fresh air that our bodies need. Instead we are breathing in thick germ filled air. So, I can't wait for real spring weather, the kind you can open all the windows in your house and let the fresh air in. Too bad it will most likely be past spring up here before the weather is warm enough to open all the windows.
On another note, I think Ben may be trying to cut a tooth. It might not come in right way, but he is drooling like mad, and chewing on anything that goes into his mouth. Yeah, that means me too. He is not even four months old yet. My little guy is growing up way too fast. *sniff*
And on another note, I found an online math drill by Math-U-See. Which is a math program that many homeschoolers use for math. This program rocks! Sarah and Adam had fun doing the drills. For one it was on the computer which is totally cool for them and for another they are increasing their math skills by doing these timed drills.
It seems like I had more to say, but I can't remember. I guess I will leave that to another post.

I guess I just don't really care anymore
It used to be that I wouldn't dare leave the house without makeup on. It's not that I really cared what people thought of me, I just wanted to look half way decent for me and just incase I ran into someone I knew, they wouldn't think, gross is that really her? I don't know if it's because I am getting older or because I have five children, but I just don't seem to care anymore. Nowadays I just get up, brush my hair and go. Seriously, no shower, no makeup, still wearing my sweat pants and shirt from the day before. I don't even bother putting my contacts in. Is that so bad? Anyone else out there mistaken for a homeless person while grocery shopping? LOL Just kidding, although I wonder what people think of me with my baby blue sweat pants! Ha! It's hard enough to leave the house on time with five kids. It seems like one of them always has to poop as we're trying to walk out the door. LOL
And before you start thinking yuck, just so you know I don't let four days go by before I shower like I do when I sweep the floor.

Dirt Roads
I got this in an email from my uncle and thought it was neat.
What's mainly wrong with society today is that too many Dirt Roads have been paved.
There's not a problem in America today, crime, drugs, education, divorce, delinquency that wouldn't be remedied, if we just had more Dirt Roads, because Dirt Roads give character.
People that live at the end of Dirt Roads learn early on that life is a bumpy ride.
That it can jar you right down to your teeth sometimes, but it's worth it, if at the end is home...a loving spouse, happy kids and a dog.
We wouldn't have near the trouble with our educational system if our kids got their exercise walking a Dirt Road with other kids, from whom they learn how to get along.
There was less crime in our streets before they were paved.
Criminals didn't walk two dusty miles to rob or rape, if they knew they'd be welcomed by 5 barking dogs and a double barrel shotgun.
And there were no drive by shootings.
Our values were better when our roads were worse!
People did not worship their cars more than their kids, and motorists were more courteous, they didn't tailgate by riding the bumper or the guy in front would choke you with dust & bust your windshield with rocks.
Dirt Roads taught patience.
Dirt Roads were environmentally friendly, you didn't hop in your car for a quart of milk you walked to the barn for your milk.
For your mail, you walked to the mail box.
What if it rained and the Dirt Road got washed out? That was the best part, then you stayed home and had some family time, roasted marshmallows and popped popcorn and pony rode on Daddy's shoulders and learned how to make prettier quilts than anybody.
At the end of Dirt Roads, you soon learned that bad words tasted like soap.
Most paved roads lead to trouble, Dirt Roads more likely lead to a fishing creek or a swimming hole.
At the end of a Dirt Road, the only time we even locked our car was in August, because if we didn't some neighbor would fill it with too much zucchini.
At the end of a Dirt Road, there was always extra springtime income, from when city dudes would get stuck, you'd have to hitch up a team and pull them out.
Usually you got a dollar...always you got a new friend...at the end of a Dirt Road!
