UGH!

I just got back from the doctor's. No, I'm not in labor, however I would trade this for that. For the past couple of weeks the entire household has been sick, mainly coughing, but some running noses as well. I started taking Robitussin DM to help break up the mucus in my lungs since my cough was just hanging around. Well, last night I coughed so much I think I pulled a muscle in my tummy. OUCH! Then this morning I woke up with crap in both eyes and they were red, just like pink eye. So fed up I decided to head to the doc's where he diagnosed me with Acute Bronchitis (viral not bacterial), mild conjunctivitis (pink-eye), and something I haven't had since I was a baby, Otitis Media with Effusion (middle ear-infection). All this from a simple virus that started three weeks ago. UGH! what is wrong with me. I only have four weeks until my due date and instead of being excited about the upcoming birth of our fourth child and having fun setting up baby things and doing last minute stuff for her arrival, I am run down on the couch feeling like crap. And to top it all off ,since I am pregnant, I am limited to which medications I can take. So he prescribed Amoxicillin and advised the continued use of the Robitussin DM, use of a humidifier, rest and plenty of fluids. And since the Bronchitis is viral there is not much they can do but let the virus run it's course (that and the Robitussin), and the conjunctivitis is only mild so no eye drops, it should clear on it's own soon. So the Amoxicillin is for my ear infection which is what concerned him most. It's funny too because my ear never hurt, nor does it now. I do feel some drainage so my ears are itchy, but no pain. Anyway, I hope I can kick this thing in the butt soon so I can finish getting things ready for the baby. I hate feeling like this. URRGGH!!
